5th Installment of LinkedIn Tips for Financial Advisors

These business tips are action plans that will help you grow your business faster with less stress and less work. Today’s topic, “Growing Your Personal Network.”
Now you’re ready to get a network of people who can help you get prospects and people who may become your clients.

The easiest and fastest way to expand your connections is to have LinkedIn access your email address book. This only works if your email is with Lincoln’s list of providers.

Move your mouse over the connections link that’s located at the top of your LinkedIn homepage. From the drop-down menu select Add Connections.

Is important to get over 500 connections as quickly as possible because people are more open to connecting with you then, and you have greater credibility.

Invite your prospects to connect with you and if all possible personalize your request.

Be careful when sending invites for members whom you do not know because if enough members reject your invitation as a “I Don’t Know,” LinkedIn will restrict you to connect me with members with whom you have their primary email address.

LinkedIn might even shut you down for a while. I call it being in LinkedIn jail and have been jailed twice. Each time I apologized and they let me out. It’s definitely worth the risk.
